Atomfall is a survival action game set in Northern England five years after the Windscale nuclear disaster. This is a fictional reimagining of a real world event, placing players inside a quarantine zone where the British countryside has become something eerily familiar yet completely alien. Rolling green hills, lush valleys and rural villages mask what lurks beneath, and the mystery of what really happened at Windscale drives everything forward.

The quarantine zone is dense and foreboding. Cult controlled ruins sit alongside natural caves and nuclear bunkers, all waiting to be explored. The world is populated with bizarre characters, cults, rogue government agencies and threads of mysticism woven through the landscape. Players unravel interwoven narratives through exploration, conversation, investigation and combat, where every choice carries consequences. Supplies must be scavenged, weapons and items crafted, and bartering becomes another tool for survival in a place where nothing comes easy.

Combat is desperate by design. Weapons and ammunition are scarce, forcing players to blend marksmanship with vicious hand to hand fighting. A heart rate system governs your steady aim and the energy needed to swing a cricket bat when bullets run dry, making each frenetic engagement a matter of resource management as much as reflexes.

Atomfall comes from Rebellion, the studio behind Sniper Elite and Zombie Army. It draws from science fiction, folk horror and Cold War influences to build its world, a picturesque English countryside where the green and pleasant land belies every danger waiting within it.
