Crossout is a post-apocalyptic MMO action game built around one central idea: players design their own armoured vehicles from scratch, then drive them into multiplayer combat. Set in a wasteland born from a mysterious global disease outbreak in 2027 that nearly wiped out humanity, the game drops survivors into a world where armoured machines built for survival became weapons of war.

The vehicle creator sits at the heart of everything. Players assemble machines from dozens of interchangeable parts, mixing and matching armour plating, weapons and support systems across millions of possible combinations. The results range from nimble buggies and armoured aircraft to heavy tracked rovers and antigravitational battle platforms. Every part matters beyond aesthetics: an advanced damage model means destroying a specific component on an enemy vehicle immediately affects its performance. Tear off a wheel and the machine lurches. Strip away a mounted weapon and the driver loses that firepower entirely.

The arsenal spans chainsaws, drills and machine guns through to missile launchers, drones and invisibility modules. Beyond combat, players operate their own workshops to craft new parts and sell them on an in-game marketplace. Nearly every piece gathered in battle can be traded with other players, creating a player-driven economy layered on top of the vehicular warfare.

The world's survivors have splintered into factions, each carrying distinct technologies and philosophies. The already unstable balance fractured further when survivors encountered the Ravagers, mysterious robots capable of erasing memories. Battles rage across land and sky, with players choosing to fight solo or form clans for tournaments and larger engagements.
