Dino Crisis is a survival horror game set on the isolated island of Ibis, where a covert government mission unravels into a desperate fight against prehistoric terror. Regina, a member of the government's spy team, is sent to infiltrate a military research facility in the Republic of Borginia. Her objective is to retrieve a scientist who was supposed to have died three years ago in an accident during his research on Third Energy, a completely clean energy source. The project had lost government funding after being deemed unfeasible, and the scientist's death seemed like an insignificant footnote until intelligence revealed he had resumed his work at this remote compound. For Regina and her team of trained operatives it was supposed to be just another job.

Something goes terribly wrong. The mission to infiltrate the research compound goes haywire and Regina finds herself pursued by relentless prehistoric creatures. Dinosaurs chase from room to room, bursting through doors and windows. The screen shakes as a T-Rex draws closer. Characters drip blood after being attacked. Built on a fully 3D engine rather than the pre-rendered backgrounds common to survival horror of its era, Dino Crisis creates a space where threats feel immediate and unpredictable. What began as an espionage operation turns into raw survival.

The game includes its Original mode alongside Arrange mode and Operation Wipe Out, the latter being a fully offline mode where player scores are stored locally. All six localizations of the game are present spanning English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. This re-released version was co-developed by GOG, and the terror it built in 1999 remains very much alive.
