Echoes From Ciudadela is a first person adventure and puzzle solving game focused on exploration and environmental storytelling. You play as Katari, a man who was supposed to scatter his recently dead father's ashes atop a sealed mountain known as Ciudadela. What begins as a simple dying wish turns into something else entirely when Katari uncovers his father's journal and the trail it leaves behind, leading him to an old cabin and the discovery that Ciudadela holds more than a final resting place.
Katari's primary tool is a Balearic sling that serves as both weapon and utility. Players aim, charge and release to hit distant targets, break brittle seals and ricochet shots around corners. Upgrades broaden its uses as the journey progresses. The puzzles themselves are physical and readable, built into the environments rather than layered on top of them. Patagonian vistas open out above ground while sci fi caverns wait below, and spatialized audio with meticulous foley design doubles as a system of hints woven into the world's ambient sounds and mechanical cues.
This demo covers the beginning of Katari's journey. His father's field logs scattered throughout Ciudadela offer pieces of a larger mystery about the mountain and the echoes beneath it, and players choose how deeply to dig into that lore. Professional voice acting carries Katari's discoveries with clean delivery and natural pacing. What was meant to be a son honoring a distant father's last request may be interrupted by curiosity once the sealed mountain begins to reveal what it has been keeping quiet.
