Famished is a single-player horror adventure set in the decaying heart of Kansas, where a bullied misfit named Oatmeal finds his mundane life overtaken by something far worse than the abuse he already endures. Mocked for his low IQ, Oatmeal's existence takes a sinister turn when an insatiable hunger awakens inside him: it whispers, it gnaws, it demands. What begins as appetite evolves into something monstrous, driving him toward unspeakable acts to appease the otherworldly guest living within him.

The game draws inspiration from the bleak small-town horror of Stephen King, blending grotesque imagery with twisted humor. This is a tale of paranoia and desperation built around an uneasy question: whether the voice inside is a curse or a key to something greater. The setting is a rotting Kansas town plagued by bullies, gamblers, cultists and predators, all rendered with brooding ambience and an unmistakable '80s edge carried through a custom soundtrack. Scripted cutscenes and eccentric characters push the story into ever darker territory as it unfolds.

Players explore the town and solve puzzles while the narrative spirals forward. Scattered throughout are mini-games and sandbox elements that break the nightmare's grip: slot machines, lock picking, surreal toys and vermin chases. The whole experience is designed as a compact indie horror story completable in a few hours. Famished is not yet available to play, still listed as coming soon on Steam, but its promise of a tightly paced descent through one outcast's hunger sits somewhere between grotesque horror and dark comedy, daring players to find out which side wins.
