GreedFall: The Dying World launches on PC on March 10 and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 12, 2026. Developed by Spiders and published by Nacon, this RPG is a prequel set three years before the events of the original GreedFall, placing players on the continent of Gacane as a native of Teer Fradee who has been torn from their homeland by force.
The game gives players multiple ways to approach nearly every situation. Diplomacy, cunning, infiltration and combat are all viable paths, and the choice between them shapes how the story unfolds. Allies can be recruited to join your team, equipped however you see fit, and even controlled directly during combat. These companions carry their own quests and secrets, and how you engage with them determines whether they become friends, rivals or lovers. Player choice is a structural part of how the adventure plays out, with decisions carrying consequences that ripple through the narrative. Conflict comes from every direction. The Malichor, a mysterious epidemic, is ravaging the continent while rival factions tear at each other through war and political scheming. Somewhere behind it all stands a single man whose ambitions of conquest threaten both Gacane and Teer Fradee itself.

Your character begins as a captive, uprooted and stranded in a foreign land with one clear objective: regain your freedom and return to your island. That personal goal quickly expands as you're drawn into a conspiracy far larger than your own survival. The fate of your people and the entire continent becomes tangled together, and the path home runs straight through the heart of Gacane's factional power struggles.
Gacane is the old world, the cradle of the colonists who once came to Teer Fradee. It's a continent plagued by desolation, scarred by disease and fractured by the ambitions of the factions that share control over its nations. Players travel across new landscapes including Olima, the city of stars belonging to the Bridge Alliance, and the shores of Uxantis. These are ancient lands with secrets buried beneath their politics, and navigating them means reading the treacherous currents of conspiracy as carefully as any battlefield.
GreedFall: The Dying World is currently available in early access on PC through Steam ahead of its full release. The game builds on the original's identity as an RPG where the shape of your story depends on how you choose to move through it, whether that means talking your way past a faction leader or cutting through their guards to reach the truth on the other side.
