No Rest for the Wicked is an action RPG from Moon Studios, the team behind Ori and the Blind Forest, built around precise Souls-like combat where timing and strategy determine whether you survive each encounter. You play as a Cerim, a mystical holy warrior sent to the isle of Sacra in the year 841 TE. King Harol is dead and the Pestilence, an unholy plague not seen for a thousand years, has returned. Rebellion, religion and corruption have torn this place apart, and every forest and dungeon you uncover holds new dangers waiting.
Combat carries real weight here. Each weapon has its own move set, its own speed and heft, and fights demand you read your opponent rather than mash through them. Gruesome creatures, enemy soldiers and punishing bosses all require different approaches. You can enchant weapons, craft rare armour and build your character around whatever play style suits you, drawing from a vast pool of loot scattered across the world. Multiple difficulty options let you tune the experience, whether you want the full punishing challenge or prefer to focus on the story. Up to four players can share the journey through seamless online co-op, no separate mode required. Every quest, every boss, every inch of Isola Sacra can be explored together or tackled alone at your own pace.
The world itself is hand-crafted down to every creature and animation. Weather shifts, day turns to dusk, wind moves through the leaves. Hidden secrets and treasure lurk in unlikely places across this living island that evolves over time, with new events, vendors and challenges emerging as days pass. The city of Sacrament serves as your central hub where you can purchase property, decorate your home, fish along the river and till the land for ingredients. Meals you craft replenish health and boost stats, tying the home building and crafting systems directly into how you survive out in the wilds. Townsfolk and vendors populate the streets, and restoring Sacrament to its former glory becomes part of your journey. There are no microtransactions here, no shortcuts. Everything is earned through play.
