My Eerie Lair is a gridless furnishing game set inside a vampire's sprawling castle. There is no management and no penalty, just the act of making something darkly beautiful. At the heart of this castle are two figures: Victor, the vampire who calls it home, and Mary, his captive bride to be. Their twisted relationship unfolds as you unlock new rooms and fill them with objects, though the game also offers a Sandbox Mode for those who want to design chambers purely for the joy of creation.

Scattered through the castle's rooms are the Gloomlings, Victor's hooded servants. They are lazy and uncooperative. You interact with them to force them to work, and in doing so they unlock magical chests from which you can choose new furnishings. Every object can be freely manipulated in color, scale and rotation, letting you experiment and shape distinct moods across each chamber. Lighting plays its own role as well, with hundreds of color palettes that span from the grim and seductive to the dreamy and melancholic.

Progressing through Story Mode unlocks the entire castle and thousands of objects as the relationship between Victor and Mary evolves. This is a game built around atmosphere and arrangement, where the rooms themselves become the story you tell.
