The Lightseeker is a 2D platformer that follows Analú, a young woman lost in a complex of caverns after a collapse who must find her way out of a place that grows ever stranger and more fantastical. Armed with a magical lantern and guided by its former owner, a ghost touched by the cave's shadows, she pushes deeper through a world far darker and more dangerous than she first imagined. This demo covers the opening three stages of the Cave, offering a glimpse of the controls and the characters who appear along the way.

The lantern serves as Analú's primary tool for traversal. She can turn courage into power, firing projectiles of light that launch her to previously inaccessible places across this labyrinth of stone and shadow. Stages demand a mix of perception, skill and creativity, and any mistake can be fatal. The full game spans more than 20 levels across four distinct biomes, each with its own hazards. The Throat of the Earth presents deadly chasms and spikes. The Blazing Chamber forces players to flee searing magma. The Prismatic Fissure tests navigation through darkness, and the Stellar Abyss breaks reality and the laws of physics entirely.

Scattered through each level are memories left behind by past explorers of this Cave. Finding them requires seeking out additional challenges, and each one uncovers more about the many faces of this place, its shadows and its visitors. The Lightseeker combines pixel art with modern lighting technologies, capturing a retro atmosphere while drawing on decades of advances in game design and graphical quality. Beneath the platforming sits a story about overcoming adversity, and every chasm crossed with that lantern's light is one step closer to earning freedom.
