UMIGARI is a first person harpoon fishing game set in the foggy waters off the coast of Japan. You take a boat out alone, hunt fish with your harpoon and sell your catch to buy fuel and upgrade your gear. The further you explore, the stranger the fish become.

Fishing demands precision. Every strike tests your timing and accuracy as you target a variety of fish, some of which are smarter than you might expect and react to your presence. The cash earned from trading your catch feeds back into your ship, enhancing its speed and fuel capacity so you can push deeper into uncharted waters. Out there lie new islands, hidden treasures and equipment scattered across the world to aid your hunting. The loop is simple but pulls you forward, each upgrade opening routes that were previously out of reach.

UMIGARI comes from Chilla's Art, a studio known for horror, though this game marks a departure. Horror intensity is described as very light, and the developers note that players looking for a hardcore horror experience may want to look elsewhere. What remains is the fog, the solitude and whatever lurks beneath the surface across an estimated two to four hours at sea.
