Welcome to Doll Town is an adventure horror game set in a decaying Japanese village once celebrated for its handcrafted dolls. The factories that produced them stand abandoned now, alongside empty schools and forgotten shrines, all haunted by the memory of students who died here years ago. Players step into the role of Yumi, a student who takes a part-time job at the town's only convenience store, unknowingly walking into a nightmare that has been festering beneath the surface for far longer than she realizes.
As the boundary between reality and dream dissolves around her, Yumi must piece together what happened to those students and confront the cursed dolls that still linger in the town's ruins. At the center of it all lies a macabre love story, one that ended in blood and left Doll Town rotting in silence. The game unfolds through third-person exploration across abandoned streets, school corridors and other peculiar locations where every corner conceals either secrets or threats. Lifelike dolls roam the village, and eerie puzzles stand between Yumi and the truth buried in haunted dollhouses.
The horror here is slow-burn rather than relentless, blending rural Japan's quiet beauty with suffocating dread. Horizontal cinematic scenes and environmental storytelling pull players deeper into the tragedy that consumed this place.
